TWO GIRLS – aged ten and 11 – have been assaulted by two men in a Bromsgrove alleyway.
The incident happened about 5.15pm yesterday (Monday) when four girls were approached by two men in the walkway near to Green Lane, Upper Catshill.
It was then the two were assaulted.
The two men were in their early 20s and wearing bandanas to cover the lower part of their faces.
The first man was of mixed race, 5ft 6ins tall and with dark hair. He was wearing a cap and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms.
The second man was white, about 5ft 8ins tall with blond hair and green eyes. He was wearing white ‘Adidas’ tracksuit bottoms which were stained on one leg.
It is believed the two men approached them from Barley Mow Lane and then fled towards Milton Road, just off Barley Mow Lane.
The two girls then escaped and told their parents who called the police.
Det Sgt Peter Wheeler said the girls, understandably were very distressed, adding specially trained officers were supporting them.
“The local community will be very concerned about this incident and it is important that we let people know, so they can be vigilant and help us find these men.
“I would like to reassure them that a full and thorough investigation is underway and police continue to be in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.”
He urged anyone who saw two men fitting the descriptions or anyone with any information to contact police as soon as possible on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“The attack happened in the late afternoon and there may have been people walking in the area who may have seen the men at the time of the assaults.”
