THE SINGER who found fame with the song ‘Wonderful Life’ will be at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on Wednesday (April 29).
Colin Vearncombe is better known under his nom de plume ‘Black’ and had a top ten hit with the song in 1987, along with another hit Sweetest Smile.
He has released more than ten studio albums and live CDs over the past 25 years.
Now he is back with his latest creation Blind Faith – his first album of new material for more than six years.
It was co-written with his long-time musical sparring partner Calum MacColl, brother of the late Kirsty MacColl, who will be joining him for the performance.
The album, made with the help of a crowd-funding campaign, will be released in June.
But ahead of that, he is performing at 16 venues all over the UK, including Artrix on Wednesday.
Tickets, which are £15, are available by visiting www.artrix.co.uk or by calling 01527 577330.
