A TEENAGE burglar was caught red handed by police after he stole hundreds of pounds worth of items from a Bromsgrove home.
Officers received calls about a burglary in progress at a home on Arlingham Avenue at 10.35pm on Monday (August 3).
Six police officers arrived within nine minutes of the call and found the boy within 200 metres of the home which had an iPad Mini, phone charger, some tobacco and two lighters stolen from it. All the items were recovered.
The thief was arrested and was taken to Kidderminster Police Station where he was interviewed by CID officers before he was charged with burglary on Tuesday (August 4).
The 15-year-old was remanded into youth detention until Wednesday (August 12) when he will appear before Worcester Magistrates.
