MORE THAN 100 model car racers and their vehicles will descend on Frankley next Saturday and Sunday (May 31 and June 1) for the first race meeting in the Midlands Super Cup.

The 1/8th scale remote controlled cars will do battle at the Frankley Model Car Club’s track off Boleyn Road (B45 0EU).

Organisers are expecting a very good turn-out on both the Saturday for the practice session and the race day on the Sunday, with the action starting at 9am on both days.

There will be ex national champions driving on the days, World championship level contenders and some who have appeared in other prestigious races, such as the international class NEO Cup.

Dave Parker, the secretary of Frankley Model Car Club, said the event was guaranteed to bring some very close and very exciting racing to the area.

Anyone wanting more information on the event can email Dave at [email protected] or call him on 0121 453 7357.
