A DOZEN families had a Father’s Day to remember after winning a ticket competition in The Standard.

After travelling to Wythall Transport Museum on specially laid-on classic buses, the 12 from across Bromsgrove and Redditch got to spend the day at the popular attraction.

During their time there, they were able to ride classic buses and see vehicles dating back to the 1930s.

Dave Taylor, trustee of The Transport Museum, Wythall, said: “Father’s Day is an important day for the museum, as lots of families treat their dads to a boys’ own day out.”

And he added it was great to run the competition and collect dads and their loved ones so they could view the museum’s impressive collection.

“We’ve had great feedback from those who came along and look forward to welcoming them to the museum again.”
