Bromsgrove Editorial 5th May, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

THERE will be plenty of traditional English fun on Bromsgrove High Street on Saturday (April 25) when the annual St George’s Day activities take place.

The feast day of the nation’s patron saint was yesterday (Thursday) but the events are always held during the nearest weekend.

Among the entertainment taking place between midday and 4pm will be music from the Celebration Reed and Brass Band, songs from the First World War led by the Bromsgrove WI Choir, a dance performance called ‘Quiet Revolution’ and a show from the Dance Floor Academy.

Tthere will also be a car display by the Austin Ten Driver Club, a bouncy castle and craft activities for youngsters and – the epitomy of Englishness – morris dancing by the Nancy Butterfly group.
