New mobile camera to operate in Chaddesley Corbett to catch speeding motorists after residents' complaints

A NEW mobile camera will be used on a road in Chaddesley Corbett as part of a clampdown on speeding motorists.

From this week, the device will target drivers on Briar Hill as part of the Community Concern programme being run by the Safer Roads Partnership.

It follows concerns expressed by local residents about speeding on the 30mph road after statistics showed 15 per cent of drivers have been travelling above 39mph.

The camera will monitor drivers to assess their speed and behaviour whilst commuting along the stretch of road.

It is hoped the camera will help to improve the quality of life for residents who live nearby, as well as increasing the safety of the road for other drivers who use it.
