A CHARITY evening in aid of The Grace Kelly Ladybird Fund-raising Appeal will be held in Bromsgrove at 7.30pm next Friday (April 29).
The cause was launched by Crowle mum Jen Kelly who lost her four-year-old daughter Grace to an aggressive form of cancer 17 months ago.
Jen said: “She went from being a happy healthy schoolgirl to passing away just three weeks later on November 8, 2014.
“It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.”
The Grace Kelly Ladybird Fundraising Appeal raises funds for The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
All the cash collected will go straight to the charity.
Admission to the Ladies’ Charity Evening at The Court Leet pub, Worcester Road, is free and among the activities on offer will be beauty and pampering, a fudge stall, a psychic medium, women’s clothes, a raffle, a bottle tombola, jewellery, professional cakes, shopping, live entertainment, handmade crafts and, of course, a bar.
The first 50 women to arrive will get a free goodie bag.
Natalie Hothi has organised the event.
Her husband Ravi, Jen Kelly, Nicole Jones and Victoria Billings will also be doing a tandem skydive on May 1.
Between them, they have now raised more than £3,000 for the cause and that total is still rising.
The Grace Kelly Ladybird Appeal has now raised a massive £59,000 so far.
Jen said: “Grace always wanted to fly in a plane, so I will be taking a photo of her to fly with me.
“It is the closest I can get to taking her in a plane.”
