THE MUSICAL Into the Woods will be staged by Hagley Theatre Group’s youth section this week.
The show will be performed at 7.30pm each evening from Wednesday (October 14) to Saturday (October 17) at Hagley Community Centre, off Worcester Road.
It surrounds a baker and his wife’s search for a potion’s ingredients that will help them begin a family.
Their quest takes them deep into strange woods full of witches, wolves, giants and mysterious strangers.
Stephen Sondheim, whose past credits include West Side Story and Gypsy, co-wrote the lyrics to this show.
The production is suitable for all the family and tickets, which are £10 (£8 concessions), are available by calling 07907 457217 and from Paddock Butchers in Hagley.
Hagley Theatre Group’s youth section has been staging shows for 25 years and previous productions include Les Miserable, Grease and Grimm fairytales, such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.
