BROMSGROVE animal-lovers are being urged to give the cats and dogs staying at the town’s Blue Cross Centre a better Christmas by donating toys and treats.
And there is also an Amazon gift list to help get all the pets the goodies they deserve this Yuletide.
From fun agility equipment to tasty treats, leads and cosy coats, the centre is hoping for bumper bundles to make sure pets enjoy the festive season, despite not being in a real home of their own.
The charity is also hoping residents will donate towards the £1.9million refurbishment which is currently taking place at the Catshill centre.
The Worcester Warriors rugby club has backed the campaign and has teamed up with their dogs and homeless dogs from Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross to create a special charity calendar to raise funds for the rebuild.
Calendars are £5 and are available from the Sixways store, at www.warriors.co.uk and local Blue Cross charity shops.
Centre manager Neil Edwards issued a rallying call to residents and added he hoped a lot of people would contribute to help give the pets at the Bromsgrove Blue Cross a better Christmas.
“Just a few pence will really make a difference to homeless pets,” he added.
To make a donation, email Bromsgrove’s Blue Cross at email@example.com or call 0300 777 146.
