ADULTS, children and families can give tennis a try at an ‘ace’ open day taking place tomorrow (Saturday).
The session at Bromsgrove Tennis Club, St Godwald’s Road, Aston Fields, runs from midday to 3pm. A further one will be held on July 16.
The day, part of the national Great British Tennis Weekend, is free, racquets and balls will be provided and expert coaches will be on hand to offer tips and advice.
There will be mini tennis sessions for three to ten-year-olds using smaller courts and soft balls and full-size courts will be available for juniors (11 to 18).
Adults can take part in free taster coaching sessions run by the club’s qualified staff or have games on their own.
The clubhouse will serve refreshments and there will be a licensed bar.
Head coach James Griffiths said he hoped participants would see the positives of playing tennis to keep fit and have fun.
“It’s a sport you can enjoy whatever your level and we’re delighted to part of this great national initiative.”
