QUANTITIES of drugs and cash were seized and two people were arrested after a number of raids across Bromsgrove yesterday (Wednesday).
The intelligence-led operation, which featured specialist police teams from across Worcestershire, was aimed at targeting those involved in the supply and distribution of drugs. It followed concerns raised by residents about the illegal supply of drugs.
A 25-year-old man from Bromsgrove was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has been released on police bail until October 3, 2016.
A 24 year-old woman from Bromsgrove was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. She has been released on police bail until September 26, 2016.
Insp Sarah Corteen from the Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We responded to what the community was telling us about drugs being dealt in the Bromsgrove area.
“A number of police officers were engaged in this successful operation where the supply of drugs to Bromsgrove has been disrupted.”
She added it was the police’s priority to protect communities from harm and vowed to continue acting on information received relating to the supply of drugs.
