Day trip scheme launched for children with life-limited illnesses

FAMILIES with children who have life-limiting illnesses can benefit from a trip to Drayton Manor as part of a scheme being run by Round Table clubs up and down the country.

It is part of the Round Table’s Children’s Wish (RTCW) – a charity used by the organisation that is dedicated to granting wishes to children with life-limiting illnesses.

This year is the 25th annicersary of the RTCW and each branch, including Bromsgrove, has been tasked with finding a local family for the trip on July 4.

Nationwide, the Round Table hopes to find 400 families.

The children must be aged between four and 17, have a life-limiting illness or recovered from one and be a citizen of Britain or the Republic of Ireland.

For more on the RTCW, visit www.thebiggestwish.co.uk or search for Round Table Children’s Wish on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn where there will be updates on the project.

It was the idea of Tabler Marcus Jones who is due to become the Round Table National President this month and wants to ‘bring people together’ and give families a day to remember to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the RTCW.
