LONGBRIDGE tots marked St George’s Day with some special celebrations.

Children, staff and parents from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School marked the occasion with an indoor street party.

Everyone went along dressed as St George, knights, prince and princesses or wore England shirts and flags.

They enjoyed traditional party games and party food which included sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, Victoria sponges and jelly and ice cream.

Jacqueline Walker, from the nursery, said: “It was a lovely occasion which brought together whole families to celebrate St George’s day.

“The party finished a week-long theme on England where the children made shields, decorated dragons and St George, learnt the story of George and the Dragon, made England cards and drew pictures of the royal family.”
