BROMSGROVE beauty Hannah Warman wowed a 170-strong crowd in the Miss Worcestershire final.

Hannah finished in the top ten on Sunday (November 2) at Worcester Guildhall, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

And there was more joy for the 17-year-old art student, who scooped the title of Miss Popularity 2014/15.

That now sees her compete in the Miss Popularity semi-final heat in May next year and could see her making it through to the Miss England Finals in June.

The Standard reported last week that Hannah vowed to campaign to make Bromsgrove’s roads safety after her boyfriend Sam Chambers lost his life on New Road earlier this year.

Hannah and the 21 other competitors took part in four catwalk rounds, along with sports, charity and interview sections.

She gave an incredible performance on stage and, through her very emotional speech, showed her determination to battle through the very difficult times she has had.

Hannah said: “I was so shocked when I heard from Rachael I had made it through to the Miss Popularity semi-finals, it was amazing to see that my friends, family and the whole of Bromsgrove had got behind me for support in the competition.

“I didn’t even think I would get through to the finals of Miss Worcestershire, so this is a dream come true.

“My mum was so excited on Sunday so I can’t wait to tell her now.”

Rachael Barker, the Miss England regional director, said: “Hannah has been incredible and so wonderful to see her grow in confidence throughout the competition.

“She looked so lovely on stage and got on with everyone throughout the rehearsal day and evening.

“She is a beautiful and clever young woman and such potential as long as she believes in her own achievements.”

Hannah’s friends and family sponsored her in the competition and she will now be looking for a company sponsor to support her in the Miss England Semi-finals heat.
