STUDENTS from South Bromsgrove High School were inspired to follow their dreams when Worcestershire author Olivia Levez paid them a visit.
The Year 11 pupils listened to the newly published writer of The Island who described how she had achieved her dream of becoming a published author despite receiving many knock backs.
In the run up to their exams they were reminded what could be achieved through perseverance and passion.
Levez also spent time working with groups of Year nine and ten students on writing skills, based around her own desert island story.
Head of English Hannah Talbot said “It’s inspiring for students to hear how success can be achieved through dedication and determination.”
