COMMUNITY organisations in Bromsgrove have been given a helping hand by the town’s ASDA.

The supermarket has donated £500 to Dodford’s Children’s Animal Farm Charity, where the cash will be used to reinforce the charity’s work at the farm. The charity offers disadvantaged children, particularly those living in deprived areas, a residential stay on the farm, providing them with a wonderful experience.

The donation was raised from ASDA’s Green Token Scheme, where their customers put a disc in the box of the cause they feel most deserving.

Store Manager at ASDA Bromsgrove Karen Dean said: “We’re always keen to support local charities and this is one of many ways we see the store helping out members of the local community.”

Additionally the ASDA foundation has given, £1,000 to Avoncroft Junior Cricket Club.

The cash will buy kit for juniors ranging from ages five to 11, as well as replacing some of the worn equipment.
