A POLICE officer based at Bromsgrove has appeared in court charged with drink-driving and common assault.
Stephen Patrick Saunders, from Roman Way, Alcester, pleaded not guilty to the charges at Redditch Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (October 8).
The 50-year-old Safer Neighbourhood Team officer for West Mercia Police was arrested in Bromsgrove on September 22.
He has been suspended from his role and has been released on conditional bail to appear in court again on January 29, next year.
