Bromsgrove parenting charity aims to bolster ranks

THE BROMSGROVE branch of the UK’s largest parenting charity is hoping to bolster its ranks.

The Bromsgrove NCT already has more than 15 local mums and dads who regularly help expectant and new parents to get together and provide support, but more are needed to keep the good work going.

Branch co-ordinator Sarah Brown said: “As a small branch we’re always keen to welcome new people to our friendly team.

“You can get involved in as much or as little as you like, depending on the time you have available and it’s a great way to meet other parents in Bromsgrove.”

The NCT, which celebrates its diamond jubilee this year, helps parents all the way from bump to baby with activities including breast feeding support, social events and baby and child first aid courses.

The charity supports parents during their first 1,000 days, giving free advice and support whenever it is needed.

Anyone interested in joining the team can contact Sarah Brown at [email protected] or go to www.nct.org for more information.
