A BROMSGROVE mum is holding a pampering evening to raise funds for Epilepsy Action as part of the charity’s ‘Purple Day’.

Sharon Crofts has organised the boutique and skincare evening at 7pm at St Peter’s Communty Centre on Wednesday (March 16). Sharon’s son was diagnosed with epilepsy following an episode of viral meningoencephalitis and a bleed on the brain at ten months old.

She said: “It was a very difficult time for all the family and we’re really pleased his medication is now controlling his seizures.”

Everyone is invited to go along and browse sale the items from Kopella Boutique and Tropic Skincare and there will also be drinks, cakes and a raffle.

A total of 15 per cent of proeeds from purchases will be donated to the charity, which directly helps more than 686,500 people a year through a range of services, including its advice and information centre, branch network, Epilepsy Helpline freephone 0808 800 5050 and its www.epilepsy.org.uk website.
