DIRECTORS from estate agents in Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch have donated £300 to the Primrose Hospice to help the charity get back on its feet after a burglary last month.

Staff at the hospice, which cares for people at the end of their life, were left devastated when they discovered £200 worth of tools and gardening equipment had been stolen and the team from Allan Morris decided to help to the charity after reading about their plight in The Standard.

“We were so appalled by the senseless behaviour from these criminals that we felt we had to do something in a small way to help,”said director Mary Burford.

“We contacted Kate Kelly from the Hospice in Bromsgrove, and asked if they needed help to replace the stolen items.”

Directors from Allan Morris & Burford, Allan Morris & Guise and Allan Morris & Peace visited the hospice on St Godwald’s Road, on Monday (September 5) to present the cheque and get a feel for the work they do.

“We wanted understand more about the good work they do on a daily basis. The atmosphere was very calming, and I can see how greatly it supports people of all ages.”

The hospice, which has received support from throughout the community since the theft, has decided to put the money towards a CCTV system to prevent such an event re-occurring.
