THE ANNUAL exhibition by Bromsgrove Art Society takes place at the town’s All Saints Church from Saturday (June 18) to July 2.

The event, open from 10am to 4pm Mondays to Saturdays and between 11.30am and 4pm on Sundays, will boast around 300 original artworks.

The pieces, which are all for sale, have been done in a variety of mediums, including watercolours, oils, acrylics and mixed media. There are also a wide range of sizes and styles of paintings – from landscapes and portraits to abstracts.

The paintings have all been produced by local artists, and, in addition to Bromsgrove Art Society, Members from All Saints Art Group, Avoncroft Art Society and Lickey Hills Art Society will be represented.

Mike Hurst, the vice-chairman of Bromsgrove Art Society, said there really was something for everyone in the display.

“All are welcome to visit the exhibition, and there is no requirement to purchase any paintings – just come along to enjoy the variety of artworks.”

“The paintings vary from a few pounds to over £100, so if you are looking for a painting, you should be sure to find something you like.”

A contribution will be made from the proceeds of the exhibition, to the All Saints Church Restoration Fund.

Admission is by catalogue which lists the artists, the titles of the paintings and the prices.

They can be bought for £2 at the entrance to the exhibition in the church.
