Bromsgrove and Rubery bus services for Christmas and New Year

THERE are special timetables in place for the county’s buses over the festive season.

A normal Saturday service will operate in Bromsgrove on Christmas Eve, with some exceptions.

The 90 and 93 (Clearway and MRD journeys), 182 and 183 will all operate normal Wednesday timetables.

The 143 will not run as late as usual – the 7.50pm from Redditch Bus Station to Bromsgrove and the 8.25pm in the other direction will not run.




The last 144 going all the way to Birmingham from Worcester will leave at 6.20pm. That gets to Bromsgrove at 7.03pm and then heads to Birmingham. The 8.20pm from Worcester will terminate at Bromsgrove.

The last 144 from Birmingham leaves the Second City at 7.50pm, arriving at Bromsgrove at 8.38pm before heading to Worcester.


With regard to the X3, the 6.33pm from Redditch Bus Station, due in Bromsgrove at 6.57pm, alojng with the 4.51pm and 5.51pm from Areley Kings, will not operate.

There will be no services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

A Saturday service will operate on December 27 but the 7.50pm 143 from Redditch Bus Station and the 8.25pm from Bromsgrove to Redditch will not operate.

A normal Sunday service will operate on December 28 and usual Saturday timetables will be in force on December 29 with the exception of a few.

They include the 90 and 93 (MRD journeys) which will not operate and the 93 (Clearway journeys), 182 and 183, which will operate Monday timetables.

The 143 which leaves Redditch at 7.50pm and the one which leaves Bromsgrove at 8.25pm will not operate.

The 144 from Worcester at 7.15pm which gets into Bromsgrove at 7.53pm and the 9.55pm due in to Bromsgrove at 10.22pm will not operate.

The 8.45pm from Birmingham, due in to Bromsgrove at 9.33pm and the 11.20pm arriving at 12.01am will not run.

On December 30, usual Saturday timetables will operate, except 90 and 93 (MRD journeys), 182, 183 and 322 will operate normal Tuesday timetables.

The 143 will not run as late as usual – the 7.50pm from Redditch Bus Station to Bromsgrove and the 8.25pm in the other direction will not run.

The 144 from Worcester at 7.15pm which gets into Bromsgrove at 7.53pm and the 9.55pm due in to Bromsgrove at 10.22pm will not operate.

The 8.45pm from Birmingham, due in to Bromsgrove at 9.33pm and the 11.20pm arriving at 12.01am will not run.

On New Year’s Eve, there will be Saturday timetables in place, apart from the 90 and 93 (Clearway and MRD journeys) and the 182 and 183 which will all operate normal Wednesday services.

The 143 which leaves Redditch at 7.50pm and the one which leaves Bromsgrove at 8.25pm will not operate.

The last 144 going all the way to Birmingham from Worcester will leave at 6.20pm. That gets to Bromsgrove at 7.03pm and then heads to Birmingham. The 8.20pm from Worcester will terminate at Bromsgrove.

The last 144 from Birmingham leaves the Second City at 7.50pm, arriving at Bromsgrove at 8.38pm before heading to Worcester.

There will be no services on New Year’s Day.

Normal Saturday timetabls will operate on January 2, apart from the 90 and 93 (Clearway and MRD journeys) and the 182, 183, 322 and X3 which will operate normal Friday timetables.

Services will return to normal on January 3.
