THERE will be plenty of dosey doeing and other cowboy and cowgirl antics at a Bromsgrove care home when it holds its open day next Friday (June 19).

The country and western themed event at Breme Care Home, will run from 10am to 9pm.

Residents are welcome to drop in at any time during the day, which will feature a performance by children from Sidemoor First School at 10am and a barn dance from 6.30pm.

Step on Board will perform original Appalachian Step Dancing routines and line-dancing group BJ’s Busy Boots will be putting on a toe-tapping display for residents and visitors.

The home will be decked with hay bales and bunting and hot dogs and other refreshments will be available for a small charge, with all the money raised going to the home’s residents’ activities fund.

Breme care home manager Denise Clark said: “Our residents and the team love to dress up and especially enjoy seeing new and familiar faces at their events, so please join us for what promises to be a very special day.”

The home is at 46 Providence Road, B61 8EF.
