CLASSICAL music fans can catch the Holborne Brass Ensemble at St Laurence Church in Alvechurch.
The concert – at the historic venue at 7.30pm next Saturday (March 7) – has been organised by the Midland Sinfonia and promises to be an entertaining evening featuring a variety of musical styles and amusing banter. Among the five talented musicians forming the ensemble are Trevor Jones and Greg McEwan on trumpets, Tim Stidwill on horn, Philip Green on tuba and Les Whitehouse on trombone. The programme will include music from Bach, Albinoni, Sous and even Lennon and McCartney.
