Bacon butties for a healthy cause

Bromsgrove Editorial 26th Feb, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

ENGLISH breakfast lovers are being urged to get themselves to Bromsgrove Methodist Centre tomorrow (Saturday) for a Bacon Butty Bonanza.

The event will raise funds for Parkinson’s UK and has been organised by Sarah Stanhope who is also running the Paris Marathon for the cause.

Sarah ran the London Marathon five years ago and was going to do so this year, but unfortunately missed the deadline for entries.

So her husband ‘kindly’ put forward her name for the Paris event and she will be pounding the streets of the French capital all the way to the Champs Elysees on April 12.

Sarah’s mum, Audrey has very severe Parkinson’s dementia and her grandmother also suffered with the disease.

Tomorrow’s event takes place between 10am and midday and those who go along are guaranteed a fabulous bacon roll, coffee and cake – all for a very good cause.

Anyone else wanting to donate can visit www.justgiving.com/SarahStanhope2 and pledge cash there.
