YOUNGSTERS from Aston Fields Middle School took part in a sponsored walk around the school grounds, completing as many laps as they could in one hour.
As it followed on from their Modern Britain Day, the pupils wore red, white and blue or dressed as famous people from British history.
All cash raised will go towards improving the school’s outdoor areas, in particular the seating and sheltered areas.
A spokesperson for the school said: “A tremendous sense of team spirit was shared by everyone who took part and their efforts where rewarded, with an ice cream.”
