THERE will be 15 jobs created next month when JD Sports opens a new store in the Northfield Shopping centre.
It’s the latest store to be opened by JD as part of its UK and European extension plans and the move sees the Northfield Shopping Centre being well on the way to be completely full of businesses in the coming months.
People are now being sought in a number of roles at the store, which is due to open at the end of October.
A JD Sports spokesperson said he was delighted to be opening a store in Northfield.
“We are also pleased to be employing a significant number of local staff and supporting the community.
“We hope the new store creates a real ‘buzz’ and is a great success over years to come.”
JD will stock a wide range of branded sportswear, footwear, accessories and equipment for men, women and children.
Northfield Shopping centre’s Pete Barber said: “Northfield is a very successful shopping centre, as it’s based right in the heart of the community, and this takes us even closer to full capacity.
“We already have strong interest in our few remaining units and hope to have them taken soon.”
