FOOTBALL - Scott Adey-Linforth praises Bromsgrove Sporting's 'resilience' after AFC Sudbury draw

SCOTT Adey-Linforth praised the ‘resilience’ of his Bromsgrove Sporting side after the Rouslers came from two goals down to draw with AFC Sudbury.

Sporting rescued a point at Brundon Lane as goals from Billy Shaw and Kobe Hall earned the visitors a share of the spoils after Marcel Lewis and Liam Pearce put Sudbury in command.

The result means Bromsgrove sit 16th in the Southern League Premier Central table.

And Adey-Linforth felt his side showed character to come from behind and earn a point on the road.

Adey-Linforth said: “It’s a very good point. To come from two-nil down, the lads have shown real resilience.

“It’s something we probably haven’t shown enough of this season.

“We were brilliant out the blocks, we hit the post, hit the bar and had one off the line.

“We found ourselves one-nil down to a sucker punch and two minutes later we’re two-nil down and you’re thinking ‘here we go again’.

“I’ve questioned the lads about their resilience and mentality to come back so I’m really pleased.

“We’ve shown some real character to get back in the game.

“We don’t come from behind too many times. The lads have done really well.”

Bromsgrove are next in action against Stratford Town on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
