BROMSGROVE Sporting recovered from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 against struggling AFC Sudbury.
Goals from Billy Shaw and Kobe Hall rescued a point for Sporting after Marcel Lewis and Liam Pearce put Sudbury in command at Brundon Lane.
The result means Bromsgrove sit 16th in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Sporting went close early on as Jaden Charles curled a shot inches over the crossbar after playing a one-two with Hall.
Sudbury responded with a couple of chances of their own as Rory Brown tipped a dangerous cross behind and Tom Edge bravely blocked Liam Pearce’s goalbound effort.
The visitors almost broke the deadlock when Shaw turned Charlie Pavey’s initial effort onto the crossbar from close range with Hall unable to scramble home the follow up.
However, Sudbury opened the scoring on 17 minute when Lewis controlled Kien Connolly’s through ball and placed a shot into the bottom right corner.
Lewis almost doubled his tally for the game when he saw his free-kick from distance punched behind by Brown.
And Sudbury doubled their lead on 36 minutes as Pearce coolly found the net from 12-yards out from Lewis’s pass.
Sporting halved the deficit on the stroke of half time when the ball broke kindly to Shaw in the box and the midfielder fired a half-volley into the bottom left corner.
The Rouslers survived a scare after the break as Josh Ezewele headed a deflected shot off the line following a corner.
And Sporting drew level on the hour mark when Hall kept his cool to finish from close range after Edge squared the ball across the box.
Sudbury spurned a golden chance to take the points deep into injury time as Brown produced a stunning stop to tip substitute Kaidon Tower-King’s effort over the bar.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Stratford Town on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
