FORMER Bromsgrove Sporting boss Scott Adey-Linforth has returned to management less than a week after he was sacked by the Rouslers.

Adey-Linforth has taken up the manager’s job at Sporting’s Southern League Premier Central rivals Stourbridge.

Sporting sacked Adey-Linforth following a home defeat against Stratford Town earlier this month.

The result left the Rouslers two places and seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Sporting have since appointed Tim Flowers as the club’s new manager.

Adey-Linforth criticised Sporting chairman Rod Brown following the decision to remove him as Rouslers boss.

The former Bromsgrove boss claimed club chairman Brown offered him the chance to stay on at the Victoria Ground as assistant coach to Flowers.

However, Adey-Linforth felt Brown’s offer lacked respect and ultimately decided to leave the club.

The Standard contacted Bromsgrove Sporting for comment and is awaiting a response.

Adey-Linforth takes over a Stourbridge side who find themselves eight points from safety in the relegation zone.

He will be assisted by former Sporting number two Darryl Knights.

Coach Richard Batchelor has also left Sporting to form part of Adey-Linforth’s backroom staff at the War Memorial Athletic Ground.
