BROMSGROVE Sporting have sacked boss Scott Adey-Linforth with Tim Flowers to return to the Victoria Ground dugout as the club’s new manager.
The Rouslers part company with Adey-Linforth following a 2-1 home defeat against Stratford Town last weekend which leaves Sporting 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table.
And the club have replaced Adey-Linforth with former boss Flowers who returns to the dugout after resigning from his role at local rivals Alvechurch last month.
Flowers will begin his tenure as Sporting boss following the club’s weekend fixture against Real Bedford.
Club captain Ash Carter, under-21s manager Stuart Carson and director of football Iain Queen will take charge of the Rouslers this weekend.
Sporting chairman, Rod Brown said: “We would like to thank Scott for all his hard work and effort during his time with us – especially managing to keep us up last season following Paul Smith’s departure.
“We would also wish to thank Scott’s assistants, Richard Batchelor and Karl Fellows, for all their efforts too.
“We feel that we sit in a precarious position, similar to that of just over a year ago.
“We have therefore secured the services of Tim Flowers as our new manager, officially commencing his role on Monday, December 15.
“We worked with Tim previously as an interim manager for three months, following Michael McGrath’s departure.
“Then, he managed, against the odds, to keep us up that year.
“Tim comes with a vast amount of experience at levels Step One, Two and Three, plus strong recruitment expertise.
“Tim will be present at Saturday’s fixture against Real Bedford, but only to observe.”
Flowers previously managed Sporting on an interim basis at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
He successfully guided the club to safety before he was replaced by Bromsgrove favourite Paul Smith.
Flowers has since managed Sporting’s local rivals Redditch United and Alvechurch.
He resigned from his role at Alvechurch last month following a run of seven straight league defeats which included six successive games without scoring.
Sporting travel to Real Bedford this weekend on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 3pm at McMullen Park.
