BROMSGROVE Sporting have confirmed the departure of player-assistant manager Paul McCone just three games into the new season.
McCone only joined the Rouslers from Southern League Premier Central rivals Stratford Town in June earlier this summer.
However, the 33-year-old has now departed the Victoria Ground to return to Stratford in a player-coach role.
He was sent off in his final game for Bromsgrove against Spalding United last weekend.
Sporting boss, Scott Adey-Linforth said: “It’s no secret that Paul has had a difficult start to life here and, after speaking with his family, he’s made the decision to leave.
“I’m gutted to lose him, but understand family comes first. I wish Paul nothing but the best going forward.”
McCone previously made 127 appearances for Stratford and captained the club for two seasons before joining Sporting this summer.
