BROMSGROVE Sporting have confirmed the return of influential midfielder Billy Shaw from rivals Redditch United.
Shaw initially joined the Rouslers in the summer of 2023 before following former Sporting manager Tim Flowers to Redditch in September earlier this year.
However, the midfielder has now returned to the Victoria Ground and becomes Scott Adey-Linforth’s first signing since his appointment as permanent Sporting boss.
Shaw said: “It’s good to be back. I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch, play for Bromsgrove again and see all the fans.
“I want to get back into the team and start scoring goals like I did at the end of last season. We won quite a few games then and I helped contribute with goals and assists – hopefully that can continue now I’m back.”
Adey-Linforth added: “I’m buzzing to have Billy back. He’s well liked in the group and brings a fearless attitude.
“His quality and versatility brings a different dimension to our attack and I am thrilled he is back with us.”
Shaw missed the chance to make his second Bromsgrove debut last weekend after the Rouslers saw their game against Bishop’s Stortford postponed due to adverse weather as Storm Darragh swept across the country.
Bromsgrove are next in action against Royston Town on Saturday, December 14 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
