SCOTT Adey-Linforth wants Bromsgrove Sporting to make the Victoria Ground a fortress this season ahead of the start of the 2025/26 campaign this weekend.
Sporting ended pre-season with a dominant 4-1 win against fellow Step Three side Hungerford Town at the Victoria Ground.
The victory means the Rouslers finish their pre-season campaign with successive 4-1 triumphs following a run of four straight defeats.
However, Adey-Linforth insists he did not panic despite the club’s mixed pre-season form and stressed the need for Sporting to improve their home form this campaign.
Adey-Linforth said: “I’ve got players out there who are willing to run through brick walls for the town and the club.
“The backing of the supporters makes such a difference to us.
“Last year, our home form probably wasn’t where we wanted it to be.
“This year, it’s a big target of ours to make the Victoria Ground a really difficult place to come.”
“Other than Ash Carter we’ve got a fully fit group and we’re ready to go.
“There was a lot of panic around the early games in pre-season. But there was no panic from me.
“It was about getting fitter and sharper and understanding how I want us to play and we’ve got much better.
“I’ve got a group of lads who are all chomping at the bit to try and get in the starting XI.
“We’ve got a strong group here so it’s definitely a headache but it’s a nice headache to have.
“I’m buzzing, I’ve not enjoyed pre-season, it’s been long and tough. I can’t wait for the season to start again.”
A brace from Nick Clayton-Phillps and further goals from Josh Ezewele and Luke Benbow helped Sporting to victory against Hungerford.
And Adey-Linforth praised his side’s performance as Sporting ended a tricky pre-season schedule on a high.
Adey-Linforth added: “It was really good, we’ve worked really hard this pre-season. There’s been a lot of ups and downs.
“We looked fit and sharp and we looked clinical and we’ve gone and won a game of football.
“They’re an excellent team. They’re at the same level as us and just missed out on the play-offs last year.
“We knew it was going to be a really difficult game, they’re very direct and very physical but we were brilliant.”
Bromsgrove begin their league campaign with a home game against Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday, August 9 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
