Your Turn to Learn learning programme visits libraries

FANCY learning a new skill as we head into Autumn?

Several learning sessions are available across Worcestershire Libraries, where Creative Studies tutors are delivering Art and Craft tasters and discussing the upcoming Autumn programme.

Roadshows are taking place across libraries throughout the Summer, which are set to be at the following locations:

  • Warndon Library, Worcester – 22nd August – 10am – 3:30pm
  • Bromsgrove Library, Bromsgrove – 24th August – 10am – 12pm
  • Woodrow Library, Redditch – 26th August – 1:30pm – 3:30pm
  • Malvern Library, Malvern – 1st September – 1:30pm – 3:30pm
  • Bromsgrove Library, Bromsgrove – 2nd September – 10am – 12pm
  • Warndon Library, Worcester – 2nd September – 1:30pm – 3:30pm

 




Skills for you to try include exploring with different mediums of painting such as watercolour and acrylic. Residents can also try out free craft activities, such as making their own weaving yarn using popsicle sticks.

Coun Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities at Worcestershire County Council said: “I’m really pleased that our libraries are hosting the Arts and Craft Roadshows and giving people across the county the opportunity to learn something new.”


Coun Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for skills, said: “Our Adult Learning do a fantastic job of helping our residents to update their skill set or get creative in a variety of ways, and this is another great example.”
