Wythall butchers opening all new food kitchen

A WYTHALL butchers is set to open the doors on a new food kitchen.

Lacey’s Craft Butchers, which relaunched last September, will be selling sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, takeaway hot drinks, and sweet treats, with veggie options also available.

Owner Chris Lacey, pictured, said: “At the shop we make lots of ready-to-cook products, but I’ve always felt there was a space in the community and the surrounding area for ready-to-go takeaway food.”

Chris has been working at the shop since he was 14. He has had a passion for butchery ever since and was his dream to eventually take over the shop.

So when the previous owner, Mark Honnor retired, Chris was ready to take on the baton. Chris has had the idea for a food kitchen for a few years and has slowly been expanding the range of products.

“The idea was to bring customers something different, not your every day food but something to get excited about,” he said.

“After speaking to my customers the feedback was all pretty much the same, that area was crying out for more places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.

“We really love what we do and we’re really looking forward to seeing people enjoying the food that we make.”

As well as a food kitchen, they will also be holding monthly hog roasts.

The food kitchen opens on September 6.
