A SERIES of business start-up masterclasses will take place over the next six months across Worcestershire to empower aspiring entrepreneurs.
The two-day support offers individuals interested in starting a business the guidance, confidence, and knowledge needed to turn ideas into a reality.
The Start-It Business Masterclass, delivered by Rock Solid Consultancy, will help participants gain an understanding of what is required to start a business, including registration, best legal structure, tax, marketing, and general business planning.
The support, designed to help individuals who are yet to establish their business, is part-funded by the UK government as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding, and Worcestershire County Council.
Gary Woodman, chief executive of the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and assistant director of economy at Worcestershire County Council, said: “We want to ensure anyone who has the ambition to start a business is given the skills and knowledge to do so to ensure they receive good advice from the outset.
“Whether you are contemplating starting a business or are curious to find out what it takes to run a business, I encourage you to sign up for this fantastic opportunity.

The first workshop took place in Worcester this week but other dates around the county planned.

The Masterclasses are delivered as part of the Enterprising Worcestershire Programme, run in partnership with the local authorities in Worcestershire.
Through Enterprising Worcestershire, bespoke business coaching and match-funded start-up grants from £1,000 to £5,000 are also available for existing businesses less than three years old.
