AN ART exhibition at Alvechurch Library is showcasing a collection paintings by artists from a watercolour painting class.
Running until mid-September, the series of paintings show the progress made by beginners as well as more experienced painters throughout the year with tutor Andrew Clacher.
The popular classes work to develop skills as well as a chance to meet other likeminded adults interested in watercolour painting.
Andrew helps students through the technical pitfalls of watercolour, whilst at the same time allowing for experimentation and creativity.
Some of the skills covered include wash techniques, brush work, colour mixing, tone, perspective and composition.
The exhibition is open from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm on weekdays, closed on Wednesday and Thursday morning and open Saturday morning only.
The watercolour classes run from 2.15pm to 4.15pm on Tuesdays afternoons as part of the many Adult Learning classes held at Alvechurch Library.
Anyone interested in joining the classes ask the library staff for more information or contact The Hub via email at [email protected] or call 01905 822722.
