A BROMSGROVE youth rugby club are celebrating after receiving funding for new kits.
Bromsgrove Rugby Club U14s sported their new kits for the first time during their triumph at the North Midlands RFU Cup Final on April 28.
The team comfortably beat Whitchurch 33-12 to secure the trophy.
Bromsgrove Rugby Club volunteer and parent of one of the U14s players, Jim Turner, said: “The team are a committed set of 26 young men who attend various local schools in the region, supported by nine knowledgeable and passionate volunteer coaches.
“Some members of the team have been playing rugby since the U6 age group, and they have welcomed new players at various stages since.”
The kits have been sponsored and funded by local developer Bellway, who donated £500.
Marie Richards, sales director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “When Bromsgrove Rugby Club reached out to see if we could support them in buying new kit, we were happy to help as we always look to support the communities in areas in which we build.
“It is great to hear that the team won their Cup Final game, and we look forward to watching them continue to succeed.”
