KNIVES and class A drugs were seized and a man and a woman arrested when a car was stopped by police at Redditch’s Tesco Extra petrol station in Coldfield Drive.

Officers swooped in, acting on locally-sourced intelligence, and searched the car.

They said the amount of drugs was ‘substantial’ and have also confiscated several mobile phones – the contents of which will now also be investigated as part of the probe.

Kian Reilly, who is 19 years old and from Rednal, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Georgia Butler, who is 23 years old and also from Rednal, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell class A drugs.

Both were remanded after appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates Court and will next be in Worcester Crown Court on December 14.
