POLICE investigating the murder of Ian Kirwan outside Redditch’s Asda have thanked the public for their help in identifying a potential fourth witness.

A CCTV image was released last week of a man who travelled by train from Redditch to Longbridge on the same night.

The appeal has been successful and a man has contacted police.

Officers would like to stress that this man was not believed to be involved in the incident but may have information that could help enquiries.

Five youths, one aged 13, two aged 14 and two 15-year-olds, have been charged with Ian’s murder.

Anyone with information on the incident can submit it online here, quoiting ‘Operation Elder’.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
