A COMMUNITY market in Hagley has helped raise over £1,500 to rebuild and refurbish the community centre.
The community market started back in March last year following the success of Christmas events, and celebrations of the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the Kings Coronation in Hagley.
It takes place on the last Saturday of the month from 9am to 1pm in the Hagley Community Centre Hall, with all proceeds from the pitch fees going towards the refurbishment of the centre.
Bromsgrove District Councillor and chairman of the centre, Steve Colella, said: “There is a superb committee of volunteers who are behind this fantastic initiative and has become very popular since it started.
“The building is approaching its 60th year soon and it would be wonderful if we could give it a new lease of life.”
