Land off Bromsgrove's Barnsley Hall Drive could be built on as ambulance service puts it up for sale

AN AREA of land in Lickey End which is owned by West Midlands Ambulance Service has been put up for sale for £265,000.

Situated on the edge of a green belt zone, the three quarters of an acre site at Barnsley Hall Drive, next to Bromsgrove Ambulance Station, is being marketed as a potential commercial development site.

For the past year, the site has been used by a motorway breakdown recovery firm due to its close proximity to the main routes into Bromsgrove and Kidderminster and within easy reach of the M5 and M42.

Belonging to the West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, the land is being handled by Halls Commercial’s Shrewsbury office.

James Evans, from Halls Commercial, said the land would lend itself to a variety of alternative uses, including commercial development, subject to planning consent.

“Prospective purchasers should make their own enquiries relating to planning permission for alternative use of the site.”

The ambulance trust is also seeking planning consent to create 20 additional car parking spaces for visitors on separate piece of land adjacent to the ambulance station.

Call 01743 282400 to book a viewing with Halls Commercial.
