POLICE are hunting a teenager who sexually assaulted an elderly woman in broad daylight as she was walking in Bromsgrove.

The sickening attack happened between 10.30am and 11am on Friday (March 11).

She was walking along a path which runs from Manor Court Road when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder.

When she turned around the youth touched her inappropriately over her clothes.

The attacker was white, about 5ft 8ins tall, had a very pale complexion and was believed to be around 15-years-old.

He was wearing dark clothes and a hooded top pulled up which obscured his hair.

PC John Banks praised the woman for her bravery following the attack.

“This incident would have been extremely upsetting for the victim and I would personally like to commend her for coming forward and reporting this offence.”

He urged any witnesses or anyone with any information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

And he added, following the incident, a number of uniformed patrols had been carried out in the town to reassure residents.
