Children go FREE as Easter holiday fun comes to Bromsgrove's Avoncroft Museum

THERE will be plenty of fun for all the family at Avoncroft Museum this Easter with a ‘kids go free’ offer during the Worcestershire school holidays from today (Saturday) to April 7.

The open-air Avoncroft Museum is set across 19 acres with buildings through the ages – from medieval to modern which bring to life fascinating stories of times gone by.

There are also two children’s play areas and the interactive National Collection of Telephone Kiosks.

This Easter, there will be a Traditions Trail and displays showing different ways of celebrating Easter through time, and an Easter crafts space, all included with entry.

For a small amount, there’s an Easter egg trail too with a little chocolate reward at the end for those who complete it.

The tearoom at the museum offers real value for money children’s sandwich plates and hot soup and jacket potatoes have been added to the home-made sandwich and cake selection.

As well as Easter fun, it is a good time to see what the team behind the scenes have been up to over winter – with lots of work on the grounds and gardens, and some new audio-visual installations bringing to life the heritage of agricultural workers such as threshers and millers.

The visitor welcome space has been transformed into a 1960s classroom, so the nostalgia starts the moment visitors arrive and dogs are welcome too.

Visit avoncroft.org.uk/whats-on for more information and advance admission, along with upcoming events.

The offer enables up to two children to go free with each full price standard admission.
