AS PART of its 20th anniversary celebrations the Worcestershire Association of Carers will be holding an event at Bromsgrove’s Primrose Hospice.
It will take place between midday and 2pm on Wednesday, December 6, and will focus on supporting carers who are looking after someone with a life-limiting illness.
As part of its new integrated hub, WAC is now working closely with local hospice teams to provide dedicated palliative care support and has pathway advisers in hospitals to help support carers.
The event on Wednesday provides a great opportunity for carers to meet WAC representatives and ask any questions they have.
WAC is a registered charity which supports some of the 63,000 unpaid carers in the county, offering advice, information and guidance so they can carry on caring.
As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations WAC is collaborating with both Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust to bring five events to Worcestershire around themes that affect carers.
