BROMSGROVE’S annual Christmas lights switch-on – due to take place tomorrow (Saturday) – has been cancelled.

The district council took the decision due to health and safety concerns relating to adverse weather conditions.

Storm Bert is forecast to hit the country and the Midlands, bringing heavy rain and high winds for most of the day.

UPDATE
