A BROMSGROVE business owner has opened her doors to the Christmas market traders who were due to be in the town centre today (Saturday).

Manie from The Wellbeing Tree on St John’s Street (opposite Waitrose) is spreading some festive cheer following the disappointing cancellation of today’s Christmas lights switch-on and market, due to the arrival of Storm Bert.

The mini Christmas market opened at 11am and runs until 4.30pm and stallholders from across the Midlands have snapped up spots to showcase their creations and wares.

Manie said: “We do completely understand the decisions to cancel the events this weekend have not been taken lightly and the importance of  health and safety however we have indoor space and are willing to help “

Stall holders affected by the Christmas light switch-on have been welcomed to move their stalls inside The Wellbeing Tree on St John’s Street. –
