Bromsgrove's Avoncroft celebrated St George's in Shakespearean style

THERE were plenty of England-themed activites on offer at Bromsgrove’s Avoncroft Museum on St George’s Day on Saturday.

Vistiors enjoyed weaving their own willow shields, going on a dragon trail, miniature train rides by the Bromsgrove Society of Model Engineers, having balloons made into swords and dragons and the opportunity to create their own roses.

There were also shows depicting the battle of St George and the dragon, with plenty of audience participation and, with it also being the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death date, there were Tudor insult workshops, along with circus skills sessions.
